Within the framework of the Bologna process, each member country has prepared a policy framework for diplomas and qualifications (qualification framework).
The Swedish national qualification framework has in 2011 undergone a certification process where it has been evaluated against the EQF. The evaluation, which aims to verify that national qualification framework of reference is compatible with the European, has been implemented as a self-evaluation by means of a working group of national and foreign experts.
