Future staffing requirements at universities and other higher education institutions

In an official paper promulgated 2003 the government has directed that the National Agency for Higher Education shall execute the following:
“The National Agency for Higher Education shall carry out a survey pertaining to the future need of teachers at the country´s universities and higher education institutions. The object of the survey is to evaluate and judge future staffing requirements for universities and higher education institutions, based mainly on current generation change, demographic development and the long-term target that 50 percent of upper secondary school graduate classes have started higher educations programmes by the age of 25. The survey shall also assess postgraduate research dimensionality and postgraduate qualification opportunities based on in-house reports and evaluations. The survey shall be completed by 31 October 2003".
