English-Swedish word list

In 2007, Högskoleverket (Swedish National Agency for Higher Education) was given a mandate from the Ministry of Education to develop a Swedish-English word list for the higher education sector. This word list was developed with the assistance of representatives from all the higher education institutions in Sweden. The intention is for the word list to be of assistance to all those working within the higher education sector in Sweden, as well as to standardise the use of English terminology in the sector. The wordlist is in electronic form and is continually updated.

An English-Swedish wordlist has been developed from this database in order to assist non-Swedish speakers to understand the terminology used within higher education in Sweden. This word list can be downloaded from this page.
